I keep my 3 1/2 grandson. He will not go to the potty. I have tried the reward system, setting him on the potty and he will scream. He is very smart. Any suggestions? thanks

Sometimes boys take a little longer. My oldest son wanted nothing to do with the potty until he was almost 4 and then just all of a sudden wanted to do it. We kept it a very positive experience for him by inviting him to use the potty every hour we were with him and not forcing the issue. Our youngest 2 kids just turned 3 and the girl is totally potty trained and the boy wants nothing to do with the potty. We have them in the same environment, but different things work for different kids at different times. Hang in there!

Just keep with it, switch to underwear or cloth training pants and let him experience accidents. Try the regular toilet with a comfort ring on it instead of a potty chair. Once you try to get rid of diapers, don't bring them back. I made that mistake and it took even longer to train my daughter. Good luck to you! and if you have any questions you can always message me!
