Hi Sara, it's definitely something to consider - might be a way to get a bit of buzz going about my writing.
I have almost finished the fourth book - the first got 11 regections but I have rewitten so am hoping to be a little more succesful if I try and send it off again. I've given the others to people to try and get some feedback but that was while ago and haven't heard much back - people are all so busy with their own lives that I don't ike to hassle them.
Having slight writers block at the mo - which is how I've found the time to come back on here lol!!!
Anyway good to hear from you - how are you?

Gillian, have you ever considered a blog or something? Maybe you could write a short story once a week...or do a series always leaving your readers hanging until the next week. I know that some bloggers become wildly successful and make money from blogging (which is typically non-fiction, but who makes the rules anyway?). Who knows, maybe a publisher will read your blog and want your books. By the way, how is all that going? Maybe I should have asked that first!

I was a nursery nurse before having my own children - it was good parctice. I have worked a little since having them either childminding and also back in a nursery when i just had the two, I think I will go back to doing something similar - maybe a classroom assistant - once my youngest is old enough. Depends whether or not I manage to make a living doing what I'm trying to at the moment - writing.

Well, lets see... I still work so that hasn't changed but as far as my social life

I smoked pot
I went to lots of concerts
I lived alone and slept where I wanted to without worrying if I could hear her or if she got up, she couldn't find me
I stayed up late when I wanted to.
I took spur of the moment vacations.
I worried about stupid shit that didn't really matter
I didn't like kids (I wont lie - I still don't like all kids but there is a special place in my heart for them that didn't used to be there)

I'm sure there are lots more so I'll be back

I taught fourth grade language arts. But only for one year. I got pregnant in August and had the baby in May...the exact length of the school year!
