Thought of another one...squirrel stew...but if any of your husband's are hunters, I'm sure you've had it too.

My dad doesn't hunt, but Jason does. I'll never forget, the first fall we were married I came home to a skinned, headless squirrel soaking in a tupperware bowl on my counter. I thought I was going to throw up. I refused to cook it or do anything with it, so HE makes the squirrel stews. As long as I don't see another squirrel in that condition, I'll eat the stew without asking.

I've had alligator although not so out there really most of you have eaten it.

I've eaten cracklin too eurgh I hate it, which makes my family happy because it means there is more for them to eat. Scratchings as well which is very similar to cracklin. Yuk!

I have eaten pigeon and rabbit but can't remember them, I was too young.

if ya'll think chitlins looks wrong, wait til you smell it when you cook it...AAARRGGGHHH...we weren't raised on pork..my mom's father was actually jewish and it wasn't any pork to be had, so when we try to eat pork we break out or get sick...if im starving i'll rip the pepperoni off a slice of pizza and deal with the consequences later, but i used ot go to my ex-fiancee's family's house for holidays and when they started spooning the chitlins out the dish i almost ran all the way home....it was horrid..but they loved it...

I've heard Cow Tongue is pretty good but HELL-TO-THE-NO. Cracklins and chitlins are a southern thing. GROSS but I have tried them.

I would never in a million years eat a slug or a worm or brains.

Alligator wasn't very good. it was kinda tough and tasted like salt water.

My Grandmother used to eat Pickled Pig Feet all the time. BARF

You ladies have me beat by far.

When I was 18 I was a camp counsellor. I lost a game where the campers all try to "capture the counsellor". As a result, I had to eat a banana slug. I called him Bobby and I'm not sure who was traumatized worse. Luckily, despite the fact that I was underage, another older counselor snuck me some whiskey right afterwards. I think he saved my life.

I can't ever recall eating chitlins, but I have eaten cracklins...deep fried pig skin and fat. That will clog your arteries and break your teeth. They are very crunchy and salty, like a bad thick potato chip. It's not something I'll go out of my way to eat. I think chitlins have a chewier texture.

oh I love frog legs! don't get them too often though. :( but the strangest thing I've ever eaten would probably chitterlings and cow brains. The chitterlings were voluntary, the cow brains were a sneaky prank from my dad, who loves cow brains and eggs!

My dad used to eat tripe in white sauce and sometimes he would share with me. I vaguely remember it being nice when cooked right.
Tah, my hubby wants me to try cow tongue.
I'll try anything once but i just googled chitlins and that just looks wrong!

I've done the crocodile, emu and kangaroo too. I think it's getting to a point where most Aussie either have, or probably will in the near future. Pigeon. Water buffalo.

Worms :( It was a dare when I was a kid, and it was disgusting......

When I was 17 I had a 'slumber party' with lots of weed and we played truth or dare... a couple of us were dared to eat a mixture of whatever the others put in a cup... so whatever condiments and food that could be blended in the fridge and cupboard was in there. Ketchup, bread, mustard, jam, honey, milk, strawberries, raman noodles, peanut butter, weed, vodka, yogurt, chocolate, and god only knows what else... it was the most disgusting thing I've ever ate

Squid, Alligator…use to be strange, but I eat Squid often, and Alligator every year at the Bite of Seattle…we go there just to get the Gator.

The oddest combo of food I eat are apples, oranges, lemons, pickles, and kiwi all cut up and put in pickle juice, with sour Kool Aid over it…very sour and very yummy.

That was a normal treat for me and my sisters growing up, I thought many people ate it, but soon found out that they don’t, and most people look disgusted out by it.
