I think a lot of women are too afraid to ask for what they want. With my first I had my daughter at 10:12am and was sent home at 3pm with no idea what to do or time to recover. When I had my 2nd at 8:10am I stayed in over night and had a little time to bond with my son properly, just the two of us, which I never had with my daughter. Don't be afraid to ask for what you want, your rights and needs are important! :-)

Yes you can, the guidelines suggest you get skin to skin time immediately and an opportunity to let your lo feed. If you feel pressured, suddenly start to feel queasy and nauseous and get your needs met that way.
Also there is absolutely no substitute for telling the midwife when you arrive that this 3as something that is worrying you and spoiled your experience last time. You will be suprised how accommodating they are.
Lastly you will not be a first time mum, and I have found that I knew what I wanted, and was more able to communicate this well and because I was not a first timer, I was actually listened to. That may sound a bit harsh, and may not be strictly true, but it is the impression I came away with.
Hope some of that garbeld response helps and good luck:-)
