hiya, i was just wondering if anyone else has the trouble of their little one waking up in the night wanting food? i have a 6month old son, alexander, he wakes up around 3am and it is always for a feed, he has been on solids since he was 3 months old and usually sleeps through the night but the last couple of weeks he's been waking.
does anyone have any advice or help on cutting out the night feed please?

Hi Bev. I have a 16 month old son and on occasion he still wakes up in the night. If he's been sleeping through and has only starting waking for a feed recently again my guess would be he's going throughb a growth spurt. Give him a week or two and don't try to drop the night feed yet. At 6 months old it isn't that unsual for a baby to want a little milk in the night. However if it carries on and you think he's just doing it out of habit you can do a couple things. Try giving him just water - he might be thirsty or he might decide it's not worth it for just water lol or just reduce the size of the feed - if he's bottle fed just start dropping the ounces. You can also try letting him fuss for a few minutes - you might find he settles himself back off.
