shes home now :) for 6 weeks. shes not eating. babies that are tube fed tend to get into a habit of not eating and it usually takes about 2- 2.5 yrs to break the habit. shes got a bit to go but she will get there. she got the tube in at 2 months due to aspirating which we later found out due to research we could have jst put rice cereal in her bottle from birth and never used a tube so thats a bit sad that we trusted the docs here but doesnt matter now we just need to work on reversing the damage they have done. shes little but not too little in my opinion. she went into the hospital at 9.1 kilos dropped to 8.2 when they starved her then came back to 8.4 when she was discharged after an over night continuous feed. im sure we will all get better rest now that we are home!

What is wrong with her - is she not eating or just not gaining enough weight? Hope she is ok to come home with you tomorrow. Bet she would love that. Its hard when your babys sick and upset - you probably need a good rest too! Hope you both get some :)

hey sorry im back home for the night shes still in hospital tube out for 2 days didnt work, she starved has no energy and just wanted to sleep and was very upset. anyway am hopefully getting her discharged tomoro to come home but she will be on more milk then before but over night now as well

i am. wanted to let you know bri's going back to hospital tomoro long story short i tried to fight it but legally i dont think i stand a chance she needs to be in tomoro moring she is not to be discharged til her ng tube comes up and she is not to be taken out of the hospital grouds at all this time. so looking like we will be at freo for a while. anyway i know i dont know you but i know you live in freo so if you would like to catch up no pressure just send me a msg on43 215 7985 otherwise i will speak to you in a few wks

well she doesnt eat heaps of her solids because she still has lots of high calorie milk feeds so never hungry but in time im sure she will and when she was younger she did great with them loved her yogurts and custards

oh yeah she started at 3 months by the dietitian and speechys they wanted her to gain more weight didnt work though she still lost for some reason. shes gaining bulk weight now though they are very impressed with her. bri was always a great sleeper now she sleeps til 8 and and she doesnt cry just plays in the cot when she wakes up. sometimes i even have to wake her and we put her to bed between 7.30-9pm

Yeah - she has fruit and porridge for breakfast and vege for lunch and dinner. It was a hesitant start coz she hated the rice cereal but I bought a few different jars of fruit and vege and she couldnt get enough! She sleeps pretty well too. She normally goes down about 5-6pm and wakes for a bottle around 4:30-5am. She is very good really. How about Brianna? Shes a little older so imagine shes well into her solids now.

haha yes but i grew up there. im a northern suburbs girl. when my lease ran out in nollamara i moved down this way when i was about 16 and have been here since ive lived in mandurah, safety bay, shoal water, waikiki, atwell, oakford and now orelia. its not bad down this way but i miss my friends and miss joondalup and the shops up there. my ex used to work at the espanade a boy i went to school with a north lake senior campus.
is she sleeping thru yet? or eating solids yet?

Wanneroo? thats the other end of the world from you! Hehe. Yeah we're lucky with the Esplanade at the end of the road but cant send her to play by herself there until way older.

yeah well we are only renting here we have savings in a fixed term but need to wait til he is out of his apprenticeship to buy unfortunately. so we are here til dec at the least. we dont have a very good backyard it has alot of dirt and i wouldnt have her out there but she does like being at the park and on the grass at my mothers place in wanneroo.

its about 15 away from success. kwinana pretty much. i used to live in atwell for a while but moved down this way before i had the baby to a bigger house

wow ive seen so many posts by u and never even knew you were in australia! im in orelia, but we were just in freo at the hospital for one of bri's check ups. 30 mins away from u though. my partner had to take a day off work as im a nervous driver

Hey - Im in Freo! Where are you? Lily is just 6 months old but we both enjoy a good cuppa tea! (Well I drink it she sometimes gets a little on her dummy)
