My Name is Tracey my reason for starting this group was to give support to parents of children with Trisomy 18. Our daughter Louise was born 23rd Jan 1990 and due to lots of complications she gained her angel wings July 2nd 1990, the 19th anniversary of her passing has just been and I miss her every second, every minute, every hour of every day of the year. The pain is not as intense as it once was but this is something I will never 'get over'. I want this to be a place of support comfort and sometimes fun.

I am so sorry for your loss and also sorry that I have only just seen this message. I hope Justine that you have great memories of your sweet baby boy. It is 20 years this year since our gorgeous Louise went to heaven and sometimes the pain is so bad, but most of the time I am able to smile when I remember her. I got a bit nostalgic (and brave!) the other day and I dragged out all the cards and letters we received through Louise's 5 months of life. It warmed my heart all over again to know that support, encouragement and caring.

HI Tracey. At 18 weeks pregnant, we got the news that our 3rd baby had trisomy 18. I carried him full term (which was a point we didnt think we would make it to)....I had him August 12, 2009 at 38 weeks and 3 days pregnant. he gained his wings at 4 days old....August 16, 2009. I know it has only been 2 1/2 weeks since he has passed, which is why things havent gotten "better". I hope the pain gets less intense as time goes, but I also know, as you have already said, I too will never "get over it". Thank you for sharing your story.
