Congratulations Kim and Debbie! It's really a beautiful moment when you find out you're pregnant! I was 40 when my daughter was born. I had 2 miscarriages after that but am still hopeful at 43 for the second one... I'm sure all will be we'll for you and you'll find the experience priceless. God Bless...

Hi everyone,

A nationally syndicated news magazine TV show is looking for a woman over the age 45 who's pregnant to share her story. As I'm sure many of you have heard, Halle Berry confirmed she's pregnant at the age of 46. If you or someone you know is interested in sharing a story of being pregnant over the age of 45, please contact Emily at 212-817-5514 or earonson@cbs.com.

Thanks!

Congratulations Debbie! I had my first at 43, and I'm hoping for one more (I'll be 45 this year). I was really nervous in the early stages of my pregnancy (mostly because I freaked out after reading way too much stuff regarding genetics and age), but I had an excellent doctor who referred me to an advanced maternal specialist, who alleviated my worries. Anyways, the best part is after you have her. I've been asked at least a handful of times if I'm "Grandma" or "Maw-Maw"!

Congrats again, have a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery!

Welcome to the surprise club, lol. I am 40 and 12 weeks pregnant. Talk about shocked. We had our plan of getting the kids out at 18 and BAM. Starting allll over again. I think I was pissed at my husband for 2 months. Use to give him the evil eye every time he came near me.

But after watching his absolute joy and the family welcoming this baby with open arms I said ok, get the hell over it and get with the program.

Don't worry too much about the risks too much. The more you read, the more you think you will be having a 5 headed octopus. I'm taking it one day at a time. But I am starting to get excited about having a little one that will adore me (my kids are almost teenagers, the dreaded mommy don't know crap stage, lol).

And, we found out today it's a boy...she could clearly see his little wee wee.

Hang in there and congratulations. May you have a safe and healthy delivery :-)

Hi I am also 45 yrs old and I am 24 weeks pergnant with my first child. My husband and I have been married 17 yrs and during that time I had two miscarriages both before 12 weeks. this pregnancy was unplanned and caught me totally by surprise. when I missed my period imagined it was early menopause and I have had no other symptoms whatsoever up until now., by the time I found out I was already 14 weeks gone!!!

Yes at first all I could think about was my age and the risks involved and of course the fact that my this was really late in life to be starting a famliy. However I have had so much support from famliy and friends and from my doctor encouraging me to think positively.
My husband is extremely excited and so is everyone else in my life. I am finally getting there myself especially now that I am feeling him move around.
I am embracing the fact that we are starting someting new and exciting and enjoying all the new changes my body is going through. I had an ultrasound last week and everything so far is normal , both the baby and I are very healthy.
