I am 43 years old. I have 4 year old GBB Triplets. I think I am starting perimenopause. How do I deal with this. Most days I want to just stay in the bed. I have no energy. My period/cycle is about every 16 days. So 7 to 8 day period, 7 or 8 day period free and start over. Needless to say this is not helping things. I feel like I am either crying or yelling all the time. If I go to the doctor, is there anything they can do? Or will they just say yea, you are. And that be the end of it. I think I would come unglued if I went and got a pat on the head and was told everything will be fine. My doctor is a man. I am also gaining weight. I am not eating, don't want anything. I have muscle aches.

OK - I know I am just going on and on. I don't really have family I can talk to about this. They all had hysterectomies so no help there.

Thanks for reading if you made it this far!

Hi Melissa! I know exactly how you feel. I am 43 too. There is hope!! ZYou need to find a menopause pratitionler the specializes in bioidentical hormones, and get tested. You are probably not really perimenopausal, as much as your hormones are out of balance. Either way, you can be treated with hormones - creams, drops, capsules - depending on what your doctor, pharmacy, and you choose. But be sure you use BIOIDENTICAL. Anything synthetic will cause more problmes. There are several ways to find a doctor like this, but the easiest is to find a "Compounding Pharmacy" (they mix up the bioidentical hormones, based on your needs, as determined by your doctor), and ask them if they could recommend someone for you. All of your symptoms point to hormone imbalance. You could even go to your and ask to have your hormone level checked. Be sure they include: DHEA, Testosterone, pregnenolone, and the other usual female hormones. Then, you could take those results to a specialist. Best of luck! I promise there is hope out there!!
