In my family, we have a bit of everything but I've already decided that, should the opportunity arise in 12+ years, I will be a Mawmaw. It is a great title - spelled badly for it's pronunciation which is almost Momo.

Hi! Since I found out one of my two daughters was having her first baby, I've been Granny. Even my bonus 15 year old granddaughter, joined family when she was six, finally called me Granny this year. I was thrilled. She called me Grandma Wenger before that. I have five grandies, three girls and two boys.

My daughter had her first little one when she was just 16 ( I was 37) So my husband and I are called Nana and Papa...I wasn't quite ready for "grandma". She has since married and now has two boys...Aizik nearly 5 and Ethyn nearly 2. We love being grandparents! After the initial shock wore off...we realize what a joy granbabies are!

My bother and sister called our grandparents "NaNa" and "Poppy". My children and neices and nephews called my parents "Granny" and "Pop". My husband aI are now proud to be called "Mom Mom" and "Pop Pop" by my 7 grandchildren. My cildren call my MIL "Grandmom" and my grandchildren call her "Memaw".

I have 8 grandchildren, the oldest nearly 14, the youngest 11 months. With the first grandaughter came the title of Grandma. I preferred Grandma to Nana and it worked well as I didn't want to be known as "the other Nana" which her other grandmother is known... To begin, Tayla couldn't say Grandma so I was Mam-ma. Unfortunately her day care teacher corrected her and she came home one day saying Grandma...still a fantastic title. I love having grandchild, they are a delight.

im nanajuju my mom is grammie my grandmas were grandma's. i picked nanajuju because a close family friend I call her " aunt donna " went by nana with her grandkids and i always loved and admired her and liked nana from her and my mom used to call me jujubug so i combined it from the two. my grandson sings a really cute happy birthday to nanajuju on utube and my granddaughter gets very excited to see nanajuju i just love hearing them say it! i can't wait to hear baby ethan say it too! grandkids truly are a different special love unlike any other but i still like to hear my adult kids call me mom, mommy, and mamma too

i have 6 grand children and one on the way. i love being called nana. i cant be called mimi cause my niece's and nephews cal me that. but i like mimi. nana fits great and my mom is grammy so i have to be nana

In my family the grandparents are called Oma for grandma and Opa for grandpa. This is German, and since I was born and raised in Germany, I will keep this tradition. At least my grandson will know that I am special to him.

I am Nonna (Italian). Grandma and Abuela (I grew up in Chile) sounded old so I searched for another language. I like being Nonna. :) I have a grandson who turned 3 in June and a granddaughter is due mid-October.

Well I wanted my grandchildren to call me something original...So I thought I would go with "Gamma"...but it seems my oldest grandson had something different in mind...He had an original name of his own...He calls me "Gaggy"...no matter how much people told him to call me Gamma he would always smile and say nope...Gaggy...I now have 4 grandkids and they all call me Gaggy...and believe me...I wouldn't change it for anything!!!

Grandchildren are wonderful! But when they live with you they are all of a sudden yours too. And this is where I'am. An 11 yr. old, a 9 yr. old and a 2 1//2 yr old. Love them all.

In our family we have several names, all different so we can tell who's who. My parents are Papa and Noni, my sister and BIL are Abby and Abba. I am Marmee and my hubby is Popi. I picked Marmee because I read "Little Women" to my girls when they were growing up and felt at home with that name.

My nephew and his wife are wanting to call his parents Mammy and Pappy, but they are having none of it! (LOL)
