could anyone give me some suggestions for this. The doc told me to use Hed & Shoulders, but that seems a bit harsh for a 3 month old! Thanks

They sell cradle cap remover in stores such as Target and Pathmark and I'm sure waldgreens. But when I was raising my children they didn't have that so we used either baby oil or mineral oil on the scalp first (careful not to get in eyes). Then gently use a very-very soft baby brush to loosen the cradle cap. Wash with Johnsons baby shampoo and towel dry.

Hi Donna, I raised 5 babies and always put oil on the scalp to moisturize. Find a natural oil, like olive or other made for skin application, all I had at the time was Johnson's baby oil, it worked just fine. Don't over do it, you don't want oil in the baby's eyes! The cap will begin to peel or flake off without hurting.
