Empty nest

I am a mom over 40 who is looking at an empty nest this year. My oldest daughter joined the Navy in 2008 after she graduated and now my youngest is trying to get in the Air Force after she graduates this year. I know that we are supposed to raise our children to leave, but I am having such a hard time letting go. I don't know if I should go see my doctor for antidepressants or just try to work through it. Any thoughts?

How proud you must be of your girls! Pills are not the answer! Get involved in your community. How about being a big sister cause it sounds like you did VERY well with your daughters so I would say that you have lots to pass on to a girl that needs a strong female role model in her life. Keep your chin up.
