I have a 19yr. old daughter that was just diagnosed with epilepsy, I also
have a 24yr old son that was diagnosed with epilepsy 4yrs ago, There is NO family history of epilepsy on either side (father/mother) has anyone
heard of this ever happening???? I am sooo confused, and scared....I also have a 12yr old daughter and am concerned that she may get it also. Does anyone have any insight.....

There are alot of different types of epilepsy what you need most of all is information specific to the kids. 19 and 24 are exceptionally old to be newly diagnosed if it is hereditary so you need to find out what exactly they have been diagnosed with and if it is hereditary or possibly from head injury, drug use or some other outside factor.
Before you worry your self sick get the information you need to make informed decisions.
