I have a lot of t-shirts from there! My mom went to Australia to visit, and..."all I got was (lots) of stupid t-shirts". My favorite says "Australia or Bust". I hope to visit my daughter in Melbourne. She has a new baby I have yet to see...5 months old.

Hi from North Carolina! I am 41 and have a 6 month old boy - I got married when I was 38 and after 2 years of lots of praying and going through the motions of adoption, found out I was pregnant. :) We're hoping to have another baby in the next year or so.

I'm an older mom. I'll be 40 in March 2010 and I'm expecting our seventh child for June 2010. I live in New Hampshire. My oldest will be 18 in December 2009. I don't believe at all that baby number seven is even close to being our last.

Hi Debra, How are things "down under"? My name is Donna and I'm from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I'm definitely an older mom - turning 44 this week coming. I have a 4 yr old son, who certainly keeps me on my "toes" so, to speak. I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. Although Evan is now asking questions about a brother, or sister (unfortunately won't happen), he does have plenty of cousins and friends to play with his age, or better.

Hi I am 44 will be 45 in January, I have a 14 year old son and a 22 year old step daughter whom has two boys 2 and 4. The boys had been living with me up until last Friday. I have baby sitted and took care of them most all their lives. And they are a lot of work. I am disabled I have several medical issues and do not get around as well as I use to. I cant remember quite how I did this when my children were little and I worked full time night shift 12-16 hours came home cleaned the house and mowed the lawn and chase the kids all day.But they sure are worth it. I think that all you ladies are very inspiring. Good Luck to all you. Indiana USA

Hi Debra, wish I was in Australia, but I'm in the USA by Chicago. I am 51 years young and have a 27 year old son, a son that will turn 24 at the end of November, a 14 year old son, a daughter who just turned 11, and a daughter that will be 9 in December. Needless to say, I covered 3 decades with kids, 80's, 90's and 2000! I also have a 37 almost 38 year old stepson, who we hardly see....long story there, and a stepdaughter that will turn 18 in December also. I don't think I would have done it any other way. I think I'm more relaxed with the younger ones, but feel that I enjoyed the older ones more. I did surprise my girls this summer though by doing a cartwheel! I just made sure they were ready to dial 911 if something broke!

I am 58 with a 38 yr. old daughter and an 8 yr old daughter. The youngest was my husbands youngest granddaughter,my stepsons, and we adopted her before my husband passed away. It isn't easy at times, but thankful to have her too. Don't know where she would be now if we hadn't taken her into our hearts and home...

Hi Nannette, know the feeling of being exhausted. I work full time as a theatre nurse, giving the surgeons the instruments to operate with. if not for my wonderful husband who is a local truck driver, I don't think we'd eat. Karlie is wonderful, but also a handful. But life is good, and we try to have fun as often as possible. Keep laughing, it helps keep you young, along with the children.

We live in Indiana, U.S. . We do not feel happy here. Very conservative area. We are not conservative. Want Isabella to grow up in a progressive place. Hope a move is in the future. Being a 47 yr. old mom is wonderful AND exhausting!!!! She is brilliant.
She is in 1st grade.
wishing you and yours the very best!! Nannette
