Hi. First off Congratulations. I am 48 and have 12 grand children/step grand children total. And funny thing you can't tell the real from the step. My youngest is turning 2 next week - while the oldest has a daughter of her own. They are a wonderful blessing that we get in our lives. My real are 2 - 8 (6 of them) but I love every single one of them with all my heart and couldn't do with out them. Enjoy them and all the will offer you.

I became a Grandma at 41, I now have 4 grandchildren...the oldest is 7 & 1/2 yrs old,
most people think I'm there mom. Being in your 40's is probably the best age to become a grandparent because you have so much more energy then if you were older...it's great!

congrats, i had my first grandbaby 2 years ago at the age of 42 and my second will be 1 year old in december. just remember, do not let them (the adults) take advantage of gramma cause they will use and abuse the privilege. hope all goes well and let us all know what you get!

I became a first time Grandma at 43 and that was 12 years ago and 6 grandchildren later and I am counting the days until maybe a new one will come. They are wonderful, each with their own personality and after the first one you wonder how you can love another one as much and it just happens naturally. I think that no matter how many you have you will love them all as much as the other just in different ways to fit each personality. No matter what, love finds a way. Enjoy!! Enjoy!! Enjoy!!
I was so worried about being a grandparent at age 47, I felt like I wasn't ready. Now, I have 5 and can't wait for the next one due anytime!! My oldest grandchild is almost 7, time sure flies!! There is nothing like being a grandparent, so different than when your own kids were little!! Have fun with them and enjoy everyone that comes along!! Best Wishes to you!!
Congratulations. I was 37 when my oldest son made me a grandma :) I am now 47 and between all my kids (mine and step children , my husband and I were both widowed and joined forces years ago) we now have 20 grand children. My first grandchild being the oldest at almost 10 yrs old. We have another due next month.
I became a grandmother for the first time at the same age. My oldest grandson is now 3 yrs. old and I have gotten two more grandsons since then. My oldest is Sal, my middle one Tyler is 10 months and my youngest grandson Eric is 7 months. It is the greatest feeling I have ever experienced (besides the birth of my daughters). I am proud to be called grandma and am only 45. Unfortunately the live in different states and I miss them all dearly but when they come to visit grandma and grandpa spoil them rotten. I hope you have a great experience with your first one. Your not getting older your getting better. Relax and enjoy.

Oh being a grandma is so much fun. I turned 42 this last July and already had 3 grandbabies, and now we have a new one that turned just 2 months old, and we have another one coming in May!! I also still have my almost 13 yr old son at home to raise, so it kinda weird, but those babies are so precious...

I get so tickled when I hear that I'm old enough to be a grandma - but I just had a baby last year, lol! I wasn't able to start my family until I was 36 - congratulation on being a young grandma - you'll be able to keep up with those grandbabies!!

Congratulations. I was 38 when I became a grandma. My youngest daughter was only 2 at the time. I now have a grandson aged 3 months, a grand-daughter aged 2, a daughter aged 4, a daughter aged 5 (plus an older daughter who is the mother of my grandchildren). It's all good fun. I'm sure you will have lots of joy with your grandchildren.

Have fun. I became a grandma at the age of 40 and now have 5 grandbabies and love each and every moment of it and being with them. They are such a joy and blessing. Watching them mature and grow is such an honor and even though you watched your own children grow it is different. Both are(were) wonderful and I wouldn't trade any moment of any of it.

congratulations. I became a grandma at 41 to twin girls and they are the best. I love my kids but grandkids are the best, you seem to see them with different eyes, love you unconditionally the way your kids do but differently at the same time it seems.
