I am an older mum at 53 with an 11yr, old a 13yr old and a 15yr old with 2 older kids, 33yr old and 35 yr old . both still needing a little help once in a while. Sometimes I feel very over whemled. Oh I also have 4 grandkids.

Well I guess my first question is, how much help do you get from your children? At these ages they can be doing most of the house cleaning and washing their own clothes! Their own rooms should be their responsibilites and they can even help you in preparing dinner! It may take them a little time to adjust if they are not doing these things but setting up a chart with different days and names and the chore will help get them going. I am not saying that you must give them a little reward each week because you may not have it but anything that you have to encourage them also may help. Make sure it isnt alot because they need to understand that they live there too and you don't owe them anything and they are being fed, have a roof over their head, and are being clothed! After they accept those conditions then maybe something can be given extra later on. I hope this helps. God bless!
