I have a 21 year old and 16 year old my 21 year old just moved out and it is really sad for me. I know that is what you raise your children to be is independent but it still feel sad to me. I really miss her :(

Hi Ainer,

I turned 50 in June this year, with children ranging in age from 23 to 10 and three grandchildren aged 8, 5 and 3.

My eldest son would have been 27 (28 in March), but I tragically lost him to suicide in November 2002. I have a 23-year-old daughter, a 22-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter. My eldest daughter has two sons and my eldest son had a daughter a year before he died.

After I had my daugher Lauren at the age of 40, I set up the Mothers Over 40 website. There are literally thousands of "older" mums around the world and some of them are even having babies after the age of 50 :-)

I'm an over 50 mom, too. I've got 5 children that are 0-7 years old. They keep me busy. Sounds like you are, too!
