massage clinic/ prostitution ring

i went to a massage clinic that was later closed for sexual acts. It was from a leaflet i picked up in a doctors surgery and i had used it few times for a back problem and no probs after thyat. my eldest son i took there when he had an ankle problem. looking back there may hae been sublime signs, the massuers were not dressed overtly sexy but they werent drab dressed if you know what i mean. twice i had a man do my back and other times a woman and was offered more masages than booked for for no extra cost. and went along for that twice and was a nearly full nude massage. never thoguth anything of it at the time.
and i know my son was offered an all over masage but that was at the reception after his second one.
i felt a bit shocked after i found it had been closed down for that practice

You were doing your best for your son, age has nothing to do with it, you said yourself they helped him with massage so thats good. You should not feel betrayed or ashamed , YOU DID NOT KNOW !! Life is strange , and in years to come this will be one funny story, keep your head held high Helaine, anyone would have made the same mistake. Don't let it even enter your head anymore, just be aware of the pitfalls of massage places you do not know, I think you are great............Jackie x

I always made sure that there was chinese medicine given and that I could smell the medicine at the end of the massage. I will go back to the open air massage at a mall a half hour away, nothing safe is convienent or easy.

Take something/someone on face value, how they treated you. (or your son). If you were present and they did do what they were suppose to and nothing more then that is all you need to know to not feel guilty.

Possibly explaining to your son right / wrong behaviors, this is the perfect opportunity so that if he goes to a similar place another time without you he is NOT sucked into anything compromising without consent. Then as a mum you have done your job!! Possibly explaining the pitfalls that could be ahead if he gave consent.

Don't feel like a chump. How would you know that is wasn't what they said it was? I would just be concerned that your son was violated. I would make sure he was safe. But I don't think you should feel like a bad mom for trying to help your son be relaxed and focused.
