Wanting to connect with older mums who are trying or have succeeded in getting pregnant at 43 and older. Had my first when I was 42 no problems. Any inspiring stories to share?

Glad your first was a wonderful experience. My second child had her first child, a son, at the age of 37 and we were all delighted for her. I gave birth to my first child at 23 and my last child at the age of 41. I found little difference in the birthing, caring & raising of my children. So, enjoy your family and good luck with your efforts in adding another member. By the way, giving birth in later years is not a new thing. My grandmother had her last child at the age of 43 or 44. What is new is that a lot of women are beginning families later in life. To this I say a good cheer! Children are a blessing no matter what age their parents are when they arrive. Fondly, Grandma-Nana (aka: Mary Lou)

I had my first at 40 after 3 miscarriages. I am now 43 & JUST delivered my 2nd son. (Born 9/15) I didn't have any issues getting pregnant the 2nd time. No need for blood work or hormones, just got knocked up the old fashioned way. I have to admit it was a bit harder on me physically, but the pregnancy went very smoothly. I had diabetes w/ the first, but not w/ the 2nd. If you want to do it, go for it! You'll be fine. Don't get too caught up on your age. It's all about mental attitude.
