I started a new community called "Moms over 40 trying to get fit and healthy" . I want to share ideas and experiences how to slow down aging....and stay healthy. Being over 40, it is more difficult to lose the "muffin top", you get aches or pains for no reason, you loose energy, etc. I want to be in my 70s still running around instead of being in the nursing home. Please come and join the community!

I had this leg pain for 2-3 years. I tried everything...went to the doctors, chiropractic, massage, taking fish oil, but nothing worked. My massage therapist told me that I'm uneven and all I need is to walk 30 min a day. So I started to walk/run in January, and it was hard at the beginning, but now my pain is gone. I think I just needed to get stronger muscles. So I think exercising really helps. As you get old you lose muscles and gain fat....even the face muscles become saggy. I'm also trying this face exercising/massage to see if it will help.

I've been trying to lose my extra weight for the past 6 years! I was superfit in my youth and never would have believed I would be this unfit and overweight. I love exercising so much, but have just had too many things to do that involved sitting down, or never being able to leave the house for me, taking the kds to sports, working late. I really need help - any tips or ideas would be great.

This is a great idea. I have to work so much harder and eat less just to maintain, and not gain more than the five pounds I've gained since turning 40. I've all but given up on losing those 5 pounds. I've reached the point where I really just want to be healthy and i do work at that.

I'm with you!!! Please share your ideas on how I can get back to the weight I was before I had my 2 yr old ... I wasn't skinny then but I was almost 50 pounds less than I am now!! I sure would like some support from other mms with the same struggle...
