Older mom of a toddler

I am 45 and have a 3 yo toddler at home as well as a 6 yo, 10 yo and 17 yo! I find it hard to find other moms who have 'older' children, and are older in age, but also have young children at home still. I don't feel I fit in with the younger crowd because I have older children, and don't fit the older crowd because I have younger children. We have a lot to offer the younger crowd, but many don't want to listen:( I am glad there are others in the same boat as I! Glad to be here.

I am 46 with a 4 year old girl as well as 9 older kids ranging in age from 4-24, 7 boys and 3 girls. The next one is 7. I don't have TIME to grow old, lol. Enjoy them, they will be gone before you know!

Hi there! I'm 42 (almost) with an (almost) 3 year old. So many Moms I meet at play groups are so young! Sometimes I wonder how well I fit in their group. My best friend has kids a bit older and the moms in her community are more my age and when I spend time with them it's so much fun. I feel I fit in a bit better with those moms but my kid is too young for theirs to really hang out together.

I am 44 and have a three year old son. I had him three months off my 42nd birthday and he is the best thing that ever happened to me. I am 44 now and still hoping for another one! It's an amazing journey so far.

Hi, I am a 46 year old mom with six children ages 2 1/2 to 23 years. There are 11 years between the last child and her sister.She was a "Bonus Surprise".I am so thankful for her and all of my kids.I do find it funny that I am in a weird catagory.I do not feel like I fit in with the younger moms .I refuse to get back on that wheel of trying to be super mom like I did in my younger years with my older kids.I cherish family time and things like that alot more.It is funny having a grandaughter two years older than my daughter and one a year younger!I find I do not have the energy I used to though.It is different having a todder and going through perimenapause!:)I am glad to be here! I hope this is a start go something great!

I am 41 and I have a 20 year old, 17 year old, 33 month old, and an 11 month old. I also have a 22 month old grandchild and a 6 month old grandchild and one more grandchild that will be here in March of next year. Some days I feel like a zombie but I think that my kids are worth everything! :)
