I had my last child at 41, he is now 5 years old. The thing is, my oldest child is 26, she has 3 children, Aaron 4, Andrew 2, and Mirenne 1, plus we have my oldest son who is 24, he has one little girl, Taylor whom is 8 months old. Then we have another daughter who is married, just had her first baby last November 2008.
My sister, she has a little girl Addy, who is 2, pregers with her second child, due in May 2009, she is 43. My brother, his little girl is 2 as well, and he will be 50 this year.

It's just funny when we are all out as a family, because people do not understand who belongs to who in the group. My youngest son, looks like my oldest daughter, while her children all sport blond hair like their Oma.. then my sisters little girl, looks like me, while my brothers little girl, looks like my other daughter Whitney, my son's little girl, she looks like my little girl.

On top of this, you have to add in my own mother, who is 72, and her husband who is just 8 years older then me...

All I can say is thank the lord for AVON products- My mother, she is so darn funny. We were inside the AVON store, and a lady helped us, my mother told announced her own age, and the lady that was helping us, said dear, I am 79 years old. After we left the Avon store. My mother said, oh my gosh, had I continued to use my AVON products my face would not look like a road map, instead it would look just like the lady that helped you who is 79 and her face looks like the bottom of a babies butt. I almost wet my pants. My mother said, slap that AVON cream on your face AM & PM every single day and night and you will never look your age.. Well after almost 10 years now of using AVON, I can say, it does work.. Of course, my mother just started to carry her age a few years ago.. so maybe it has to do with DNA and the fact both my parents did not start to age until they were in their late 60's.



I do not sell AVON, nor rep for the company- so I wanted to just pass along the TIP from my mother of 72, who started using AVON when she was 25, and stopped using AVON when she was in her late 50's.

Yes, I have found having older children and then grand children, and a "5" year old at home, has been a blessing and at times very hard as I age... I require a lot of sleep I have found out since coming in to my lovely mid part of aging at "46" now.. and I am not as motivated to play hop skip and jump, roll, dunk, toss and play in the mud like I use to be able to do while younger. I can appreciate a mom jogging her child in the stroller from my own living room window.. because if I tried to do that.. 911 would have to be called.. to come and remove me off the side walk..



No one ever told me that having a child later on in life would toss me in to MENAPAUSE either.. my doctor waited until after the birth of my last baby to fill me in on the wonderful news!



Yes, hot flashes, night sweats and blankets on, blankets off and having a wet towel ready at all times is not very romantic either..

I KINDA UNDERSTAND. I HAD MY LAST CHILD AT 40 . MY MIDDLE CHILD IS 22 WITH A 5 YR OLD WHO LOOKS JUST LIKE ME.MY OLDEST STEP DAUGHTER WHO HAS A 22MONTH OLD DAUGHTER .ALONG WITH MY 20 MONTH OLD LOOKS JUST LIKE HER 3 YR OLD BROTHER WHOM THEY LOOK LIKE THEIR FATHER SO NO ONE KNOWS WHO BELONG TO WHO WHEN WE GO OUT.
