My son graduated high school last year but
He has a girlfriend that is still in school. They
Want to go to the homecoming dance. Which
He can, he's only 18. I was wondering if I should
Tell him that he has to buy his own pants, shirt,
Tie, and flowers for his girlfriend. Then theres the
Pics. Should he pay for all that? He does have
A job. :)

MY son is 19 and his GF is 17, they are going to her Homecomming. He just went out today and bought pants, shirt and tie, with his own money. and he's going to buy flowers with his own money too...
Now if he was still in school, then I would buy them for him, and the flowers for her too.

My boys arent there yet but I would never ask them to finance their homecoming dance attire! He might have a job, but considering he's so young, i can't see him making a huge amount of money.

I would definitely tell him to pay for it himself. That you've done your time as the responsible parent and that since he has a job if he really wants to do this that he has to pay for it. However, sucker that I am, I would end up buying at least one thing. That's just how I am. Guys don't understand flowers it seems. So perhaps it wouldn't hurt if you bought the corsage. :)

You betcha. This is a "date" Her parents might want the pictures for her school experience but your son won't wanted pictures, I am assuming.
I would have the talk with him prior to him coming to you for money. Let him know how you feel and why. Talk with him to see what his expectations are from you. Maybe you two can come to an understanding about costs that you are both pleased with. I mean, he can always use a good pair of dress pants right? But the girl will be requesting a special color or fabric for his shirt and tie so help him see how those items are the price he pays for this special date.
