Who knows LOL, I think girls have back talk at birth. If you just stick to the punishment. Let them know you are boss, you don't compromise with them, or reason with them. What you say go, not what they want. You know they say from birth, baby's know that crying gets a response.

Hi Janice;
Very wise advice....you know, we are guilty of doint the disagreeing and we also argue. I know we have to stop that and especially not to let them see they can play one against the other. I, myself, am guilty of the "one more time" thing, I also yell a lot both not good traits. They have already started that talking back thing, not to an extent but on occasion. What are some of the ways you have handled that. Cause sometimes I want to go nuts.

I have a teenager who is a girl. here's my advice, you and dad stick together, don't disagree in front of the girls, they gotta know you are a team. Any punishment, stick to it, do not let them off easy. And above all, do not, even at these precious ages, let them talk back. If you start now, you wont have a smart mouth. girls need lots of hugs so it doesnt feel like something new when strangers hugh them and individual attention. you gotta stop whatever you are doing and listen to what they are saying. you gotta keep promises. Don't brush em off when they tell you their is a problem in school. whew, i sure can yap.
