Hi to everyone and Hats off to all of you lol, I didn't realize how many moms that started over at the age of 40. I turned 40 this year I have 6 children total one being a 15 yr old stepson. My children are boy 18 graduating this weekend and going off to college in the fall. then 15 yr old girl who is very silly and crazy, 15 yr old step son. 13 yr old son with all sorts of challenges to bring to motherhood. 3 yr old girl sweet as can be and my smartest one yet. Well early anyways. and finaly 1 yr old girl. Also sweet as can be. I love having two little girls. I am enjoying every min of it. Except for those grey hairs are comming in by the dozens now. and the arthrietis I have is a challenge some days for chasing the little ones around. I think the most challenge is dealing with the needs of the 18 yr old while dealing with toddler tantrums and 1 yr old diapers and not wanting to leave mommy. It makes you dizzy some times makes ya feel bipolar lol.

I'm 49 and I feel like I have 3 sets of children. Set #1: 24,22,20. Set #2: 17,14,11. Set #3: 4 1/2, and she truly is a set all by herself. My older children used to make fun of me. They would say that I was old enough to be my youngest's grandmother (which I am), and my 22 yr old daughter asked me if my breastmilk was powder now. She said it as a joke, but I must admit, it didn't feel a joke to me. Somewhere along the line, I must have gotten dislike for their humor across because they don't do it anymore. Set 1 still need me (tho they don't like to admit it), set 2 is driving me crazy, and set 3 wears me out!

I'm 43 and my youngest is 4...sometimes people ask if he's my grandson. With everything else that's going on, I just say "I'm his Momma" and keep going!! Guess he's keeping me young @ heart!!LOL

Hi Cheryl,

I can identify with that I've got two grown and two teenagers - what was I thinking is something I say over and over... I'd be done now and let's not even talk about the grey hair :)

Hi everyone - I do not know how I was found to be on this site - facebook is still kind of new to me and all of it's wonders. I am 42. I have three daughters 17, 14 and 2!!!! Even my very good friends who are not in the position of having that toddler all over again will NEVER understand what it is like. It is wonderful and exhausting and everything in between. Dealing with getting my 17 year old ready for her prom and then changing a pooh pooh diaper!! Going to a college fair and then changing a pooh pooh diaper. Sometimes I feel young and sometimes I feel like "grandma". Gray hairs?? YES!!! I just take everything one day at a time. Crazy - for sure!!!!

All on exactly the same day, my youngest started preschool, my middle child started kinder, & my eldest started yr 12, oh & did i mention they'r all boys. Thank goodness thats some yrs behind me now. Cheryl's soooo right about the hormones & boys being boys, your doing nothing wrong if u can crawl into bed every nite with at least most of ur hair still attached 2 ur head. And yes, this is a great site.

I have to agree with happy mum and that will be happy kids, but i think he is still not happy. oh wellll. I had a bad morning trying to work a school function for him and it was just terrible so I stopped and got a pedicure and wax and that calmed me a little cause i probably would not have been to nice when i got home. since i'm doing this for him and he doesn't get it.......
