Hi I'm a 48 yr old single mom of four(boy/girl twins, 21, son,13, and daughter, 9) My 9 yr. old continuasly seems to be so stressed out about the girls in her class not wanting to have anything to do with her, she cant get to sleep at night and even gets so upset she starts shaking. I have had many talks with her, given her suggestions, but to no avail. Every night it is the same routine. I have decided enough is enough and I'll be talking to her teacher myself in the morning.

Thanks Amanda. My 9 yr old is very sensitive and when she sees someone being picked on she will go right up there and tell the girl causing the trouble to stop. I have a hunch that the girl in question is on a campaign to get the other girls not to talk to my daughter......that's just my thinking....remembering the girls of my youth, not much changes. My daughter Dana is active on the track team, and is involved in cross country running. She and I are going to start training together in cross country on Saturday, as that is an interest of mine as well.

sound like a good start maybe the teacher and pair her with a girl in ther class to start a friendship there. You may want to see if she has interest in anything like gymnastic, swimming check out your nieghborhood community center or organized groups my girls did girl scouts and made lots of friends, talk to your daughter and see why she feels this way has the girls in her class said or did something to make her feel this way? Or does she have a personally perception that is is projecting out. When all else fails counseling.
