(Women) How old were you when you started shaving your legs? How old was your daughter when she started?

I didn't start shaving until I was 14 or 15, and it was never a really big concern of mine at all. However, my 10 year old seems to think it's the biggest thing in the world. Please help me form an opinion as to if I should just let her, or if I should give her an age where she definitely can. I don't want her to be embarrassed, but once you start shaving, you kind of have to do it every day or every other day for most people. I just don't think she understands that.

Anything helps! Thanks!

I have three daughters ages 16, and twins 12. I allowed my oldest to start at age 14. But I only allowed her to shave from her ankle to her knee. There was no need to shave the thigh as the hair was still fine and light. She progressed as time went on and now shaves the entire leg. My twins are so different-one is light haired and the other is very dark haired. The dark haired started shaving at 12. She was embarrassed by the hair growing on her legs and under her arms. It was very dark and course and extremely noticeable. She shaves her entire leg. Howeve, her twin doesn't shave at all. So really it depends on the type of hair your child grows.
