He's 2 and a half and LOVES music!! I studied voice in college and my only regret is I didn't get to start earlier with music. Love to see my son succeed! Especially if he has talent!! :)

Kindermusik is a great start, too! I can tell a huge difference between my private piano students who have had Kindermusik (or something similar) and those who haven't.

google music by numbers. It will help to teach your child piano and make learning fun and achievable at the same time :)

It's not about getting the private lessons, Leap Frog has some wonderful toy's that are instruments. Both my son's love the marakas (sping). They teach color, numbers, and just sound in English and Spanish. I know they have other stuff as well. The sooner you let him start playing 'music' the higher his IQ will be and he will be able to learn faster when he can have lessons. Good luck

Unfortunately I don't play an instrument but my husband plays the trumpet and has been ineresting him in that. I also bought him a small keyboard which he enjoys. It's fun to watch his interest grow. Thanks for your response!

The earliest most instructors will take children is 4 yrs. old. My daughter will be 4 in November and we have been teaching her at home until she is old enough for lessons. My husband plays acoustic guitar and sings and I play bass guitar so we are able to teach her what we can at home for now
