I had a similar problem with my little one in the beginning.I tried the carrier but with 4 other kids 7 and under, it was hard for the carrier, particularly since I had a very clingy 2 year old. He wanted to get in the carrier as well and would constantly tug at it.The maternal health nurse suggested to me that he missed the mum scent. They suggested I put in a t-shirt that I had worn, not a excessively used one a clean one, I did that and propped him up slightly on a v-shaped pillow. It worked for me.

Insha'Allah it will pass! My son got spoiled the first month, so he rarely got put down. However, that was the only month he was super congenial and would sleep anywhere anytime.

I just bought a Moby Wrap- It is nice it keeps baby tummy to tummy and he can be upright- in shalla it will help- it is frustrating not getting anything done or having to everything in 5 minutes intervals

 the ultimate baby wrap co.

I had to carry my son in a carrier to accomplish ANYTHING. I think a month is early--he may still be a lil scared. My son hated to be left alone, he needed the physical contact. It used to drive me nuts, but now that he's 2 and wants nothing to do with me (that involves holding still!) I kinda miss those days. Just say alHamdulilah and make the best of it.

I think he is just trying to get used to the world.   He likes to be held and talked to.  My other son calmed down around three months.

hmm this is a good one. Well my son has recently been giving me a hard time with this. He is about to turn 3 months and wont let me do anything for more than 5 mins if I am not carrying him or if he cant see me. He never did this before and I think it is becausr I carried him too much and got him used to sleeping in my arms. But since your baby is only a monthold I am assuming he is probably just hungry, wet, cold, or just tired. Make sure he is full and has a clean diaper before you try putting him down. Hope that works!
