My daughter has a school project where they are to create an educational toy for toddlers(2 and 3 years). What should she do? Its suppose to be safe from choking, etc. Im confused!

what about something simple like a ring toss. Use those floating rings and make a stick and plate they and throw it on it and get points (helps with hand eye co ordination counting etc)

Make a shoe lace plate to help the tie their shoe laces, put holes in the wood and thread the lace through (like a shoe) and the kids practice lacing it up. The same thing could be done with buttons to teach them to do buttons

blocks - get wood chop it up and paint it and put the alphabet on it and they have to make words, structures etc

make a set of matching cards, cut cardboard into card sizes (slightly bigger for little hands) she draws the pictures on them (making 2 the same) and the kids have to match up the pairs, you could also play snap etc then laminate them and cut the corners off

make a puzzle out of cardboard (probably 8 pieces max) and then the kids put them back together. Use cardboard she draws a picture and then you help her cut it into cool shapes

Use 8 soft drink bottles, fill with different coloured water (food colouring) and get a ball (or make one) and make a bowling game

Make simple board games like tick tac toe, or snakes ladders, etc

hope she likes these ideas

She's 9! Nothing comes to mind. I thought about her making a big velcro ball where it serves two purposes. The kids can throw it around(and hear a bell inside) and they can attach/detach abc's and 123's along w/a few shapes! Idk...Thanks

How old is your daughter? Something that come to mind are creating something such as using an animal (elephant) to coordinate with someones name. Perhaps a ball for another ones' name.
