My 9 year old is very unorganized & I am trying to get him on a schedule. Any suggestions on how to do this? I have thought about making a chart for him outlining his daily routine, I just dont know where to start or how to implement this. Help!

Hi Clare,

thanks for your suggestions. You had some great tips. He has gotten a little better, I think I will try the reward system with the stickers every day.

yeah i think that the best way is a chart to get him organised.. Try to give him rewards when he does good things.. I do this with my daughter give her a sticker after she does some good work..

I think you are on the right track with a chart. You need to start with the time he gets up, then break the day down into time sections so that he can look at it and know what he need to do next. Everybodys day is different so it is all about what your family dose from meal times to bath and bed times. A reward chart may be a good idea for the first month so that he feels that there is somthing to work to,( ie if he is organized all day he gets a sticker) at the end of the week if the row is full of stickers he can have a reward. again this option is up to you. I tryed this when I had problems gettting my daughter to bed on a night and it worked for me. Hope this helps you alittle.
