How to alternate between breastfeeding and an occasional bottle of breast milk.

I am trying to alternate between breast and a bottle of breast milk but my 5 month old won't accept a bottle. Does anyone have any advice on how to make this possible? I could really use the occasional break and get out by myself or even just to have a date night with my husband.

i remember when we first started giving our Grace a bottle we squirted some in her mouth, when she knew what it was she would drink it. but we did start when she was only a few weeks old. he may be better with a cup

I know that with my daughter I had to put a little of the breast milk on the nipple of the bottle to have her take it sometimes. I know that like Alexander if anyone else tryed giving her a bottle she'd take it, but when she started not taking my breast, I had to get her to take the bottle no matter what. Try putting the breast milk on the nipple and if that still doesn't work it might be the size of the nipple on the bottle that might not be the right one.

i had alot of trouble trying to get my son to take to a bottle too i was told they need alot of snuggle time make sure you put her in the same postion that you would to brest feed her and make sure its nice and warm maybe even get your husband to try a couple times i still have troubles getting him to take a bottle from me but he is getting better but from daddy or anyone else it is easy i think it is cause she knows you have a boob and only wants that from you so try to get your husband to snuggle her a feed her buy bottle the best bottle's are the slow leak ones and try to get the drop in bottles with the bottle nipple that is most like the breast it really helps i hope thing work out cause i know how you feel
