I have a friend who felt that she wasn't producing enough so now she formula feeds. I Found out too late to tell her, but I hope if any of you are going through something similar- this will help.

The teas that I found out about are: Yogi- woman's nursing support and organic Mother's Milk.

I hope this helps someone! :)

I started taking brewer's yeast powder and green's powder after the birth of my second baby and was still becoming engorged at 6 months postpartum. My milk supply lasted much longer with the second than with the first. I think it is more due to health than anything else - stress can also make a mom produce less.

Fennel, Fenugreek and Aniseed are the active herbs in lactation teas for anyone who grows these or wishes to not have to buy a commercial tea if they can source these herbs themselves.
I also have been eating home made lactation cookies that have been a great help this time around :D

I use Traditional Medicinals tea called Organic Mother's Milk for healthy lactation.

But just a note, even with a tea and supplements, some women do not produce enough milk. Please be cautious not to make them feel bad or like they are doing this terrible thing to their baby. They already feel bad enough. I know of two close friends who didn't, one supplements with formula until six months than does formula 100%. The other, my SIL, doesn't produce any hindmilk (the meat and potatoes) she only makes the watery stuff. So she nurses and then supplements with another mom's breastmilk from a bank (she lives in a large city) for about 9 mo to a year.
