My 11 week old son cries a lot for a period of 10-20minutes before he finally goes to sleep. This has never happened with my other 3 children. What could it be? He is exclusively breast feed and currently weighs 15.5 pounds.

It's probably nothing, just his personality. I would not worry about it. Maybe he needs more comfort and soothing than your other kids

My third baby did something similar but not for as long. Right from the begining i noticed that she was more sensitive than the others were and took longer to sooth to sleep, hated the swing and pacifier and car only napped for a few min at a time. one day i was just too tired to try anything else and as she was crying i just kept rocking her after about 3-4 min she just went to sleep! she did this alot in the first few months. i think she was too overstimulated by all of the other kids and what not that she needed the get it out of her before she could relax. shes a year now and doesnt cry like that but is still very sensitive...things needs to be just right for her to relax.

Also be sure not to drink ANY caffine. My first baby was not bothered by the morning coffee....but with the second it took me a few weeks to realize that he had a hard time sleeping because of the coffee i was having in the morning. i could tell he was exhausted but didnt understand why he was crying and not sleeping. 2 days after giving up my beloved morning coffee, he slept normally.
