my LO is 18 months and is with me all of the time. she loves to com ein the bathroom when i "tee tee" and "potty" and when i bath. if she see's toilet paper and get's it and wipes her bottom. recently she has begun touching her front and back private areas. i understand that she is learning and exploring. is this normal at her age? she seems so younge

My son began exploring by 10 months and his dangly bits are his favorite plaything (when he happens to notice them under his pot belly that is!) now at 12 months. His awareness comes and goes but it's harmless.

Definitely right on time, toddlers are fascinated with all aspects of their bodies. And I agree that now would be a good time to introduce a potty to her if you haven't already. She may not be ready to use it yet but if she's curious about what you're doing then she's getting ready. My 3 year old was the same, with me all the time, still follows me to the bathroom now!, at about 21 months she just sat down on the potty that we had left in the living room and peed out of the blue, no real coaching on our part!

totally normal! my son is 21 mos now and have known about his boy parts for several months. during diaper changes he usually grabs at it and sometimes pulls really hard. if you don't make a big deal about it and just treat their "private" parts like any other body part they will treat them that way too. if you haven't started potty training now might actually be a good time since she is so interested in the bathroom and potty related stuff. this week my son asked to sit on the potty and peed so we have slowly begun potty training, we're not pushing it too hard or trying to force it though. i hear once they show an interest you may as well give it a shot though!

She's right on target with it. She is also interested in her nose, eyes, mouth, etc...right? She is learning about every part of her body she can right now. Don't worry about it. Whenever I change my 18 MO diaper she often touches herself to see what's there. She is also one with the toilet paper, she'll wipe her bottom too, then put it in the potty, wave and flush. =)
