oh my gosh, wow, ya....my daughter (6 on the 9th) just thinks she is the boss & knows everything, I remember at 2 & 3 & even part of 4 where people were always complimenting on her behavior, and even now, she's great in public, but man, when we're home, I barely want to be around her lately, she is just so unbehaved & just unruly, constantly fighting everything & sassing, she's even mean to her little sister, she pushes her down all the time and has also got letters sent home from school from being disruptive & she's never been like this...drives me nuts...I can't stand it or how I feel about her lately, she's reallly becoming quite a brat & quite frankly I'm tired of it & want my sweetheart back

My daughter is soon to be 6 and she is doing the same thing but she has no siblings so she does it with me so i started putting her to bed at 7:30 pm so she gets 11 hours of sleep and she does so much better. Have you done that yet?

My daughter is a Nov 19th 2003 baby and she has suddenly turned into a cry baby! Her doctor say that her attitude change may be coming from a fear of starting Kindergarden. Maybe it will get better for both of them after they start school. Thats my hope anyway.

Hi Sarah. I too am having the same issues with my son. I put him in summer school in preperation for Kindergarten and now he knows it all. And im not just talking about his ABC's and 123's (which is great no doubt.) But he too has developed the same listening issues, he has also taken on an agressive aproach sometimes. When he behaves that way or chooses not to listen then there are consequences. I have started taking away play and tv time and keep reminding him that if he wants to do the things he likes then he needs to be respectful and do as he is asked/told to do. So far it seems to be working..though i think it may be a long road. I hope this helps.

It's the age I have 6 year old boy born Nov. 11 And ohhhhhhhh BOY does he give me attitude @ times. But not always. LOL.... I find that it usually after playing with his friends in the neighborhood or close to bedtime!!!!!!!!!! But usually the first one HAHA. We have some pretty naughty kids in our neighborhood but I can't keep them all the time right?

I have a boy that wants to argue all the time! And i thought they didn't get attitude until the teenage years?! HA, he has it now. I think some of his problem is the new brother. He loves him but i think he is acting out in jealousy. He too is really good in school, preschool, and we never get bad reports. He don't listen either, he must LOVE to hear his name shouted at him!

That's exactly how my daughter is, it seems like everything is a battle with her! She's good with her brother (he's 20 months) and she does great in school, I really think it's just me that she can't get along with!
