My 5 year old daughter has had a cough/sinus infection/ear infection basically since the cold weather started and just as I thought it was over here's a new symptom....she has a white sore under her tongue. She is coughing up white chunks, has a fever, bad dry cough, and no appetite. Ofcourse I am planning a trip to the doctor although, they haven't been much help yet but I have looked online everywhere this evening trying to figure out what this white spot under her tongue may be (that she says hurts) and can't really find anything....anybody experienced this before?

When I had mono, I had a sore at the back of my throat - that is the only thing I could think of.  This sounds awful.  I am so sorry.  She sounds horribly sick.
