Yes I am probably the exception to the rule. My son can write his first and last name correctly using one upper case and the rest lower case. He learns things quickly and loves the praise for doing "a great job"! It is part of our routine. He traced his name first and now can write very well. I often try to add new things to learn.

hi there - my son Hezekiah is 3 ( 4 in nov) and has been able to write his name for about a yr ... he can only write HEZE but is very into learning - will spot the letters of his names everywhere - he can also write D for daddy T for taleni (his sister) M for mummy and P for pa.... we didnt really show him any of this he just picked it up ..... but we r very encouraging , sometimes he write ZEH (backwards) and im wondering if it is because he is left handed ????

My daughter learned to write her name a few months ago. I work with her on a daily basis with the alphabet, numbers and writing her name. She is extremely smart but I don't think that most kids her age can write theirs names.

My daughter is going to be four in nov. and she can't write her name yet. she just started getting into the learning books where you trace letters. she can only write the first letter of her name (m) so far.
