Advice on potty training my boy!!

hello I am a stay at home mom to. I try and take my 2 almost 2 hafe year old son to to the potty but he screams and fights with my and I have to pull his unders and pants down. And put him on it but he trys to get down. What to do.

Hi, Im about to toilet train my 2 1/2 year old boy too this week. My plan is to stay at home as much as possible and let him wear just pants and ask him alot if he needs to "wee". He will not sit on a potty but is quite happy to sit on a toilet but doesnt actually do anything on it! lol Im hoping he wont like wetting his new pants so will tell me as I think he is now ready. i was the same but i eventually bit the bullet and just stopped putting nappies or pull ups on my 2 year old. took lots of changes of clothes wi me when i went out. he caught on quick after a few accidents.

I potty trained all my 3 kids just by not buying any diapers anymore and start putting underwear on them. If you have time for a week or just a weekend, stay on top of them asking them every few minutes if they need to use the potty and when they do then congratulate them, just do that for a few days and they will start going on their own. Also, I always potty trained them on the regular potty, for my kids that worked well. I tryed the little potty's but it didn't work. I would buy the night time diapers until they quit peeing in them bcs eventually after they get the hang of using the potty they learn to control their bladder and quit peeing at night, just don't give them anything to drink about 30 minutes before bed and make them potty before bed. it works!!! My 2 yr. old has been potty trained completely for about 2 months now. Good Luck!!!

Signs of being potty ready are these:

1. He follows you into the bathroom and is curious.

2. He asks questions about going to the potty (Mommy, what are you doing?)

3. You notice He tries to hold his potty or if he does go on himself, he's uncomfortable being dirty/wet and asks or wants to be changed.

4. He tells you he's a BIG BOY not a baby.

5. He tells you he has to go Potty.
