As to the specific why part, some kids just have shorter tubes to begin with in their ears so they are more prone to them.

ask for a referral to an EAR NOSE AND THROAT doc. She may need tubes. My son got them a while back. It was very simple and he had no problems at all and has been great ever since, with only one ear infection since.

Hey! My daughter is 17 months old and I have the same problem. Her Doctor is thinkin of putting tubes in her ears if it doesn't start to get better. I have alot of nieces who have gotten the tubes and it has helped them alot. I'm not sure what causes them...ever since my little girl turned 6 months old she has constantly had them. I would just talk to your Doctor about it and ask about the tubes and see if he thinks she needs them and if he thinks they would help!!
