My son Tas is 15 months old and is still taking 2 naps at 10 and 3 for an hour to an hour and a half.  His bed time routine starts at 7 and he sleeps by 8 and is up by 6 or 7.  I think he's moving towards one long nap soon.  The last couple of days he's stretched his awake time to 12:30 and slept until 2:30 pm and went to bed by 7:30.   It could have been our schedule for those days because he's back to his 2 nap schedule.  I was sad when he went from 3 naps to 2 naps, and now to lose another nap is a bummer.

My son's bedtime is 8:30, he always gets up crying about midnight but then calms himself and sleeps til 8:30 am. He sometimes doesn't nap at all during the day and other times it's only about an hour of sleep around 3 pm. I wish he still would nap more!

My son Beau sleeps 7pm - 7am sometimes 8/9am like at the moment because his sleep quality is poor due to cutting teeth.

He also takes 2 naps at around 10am (11am when he has slept in late) and 2-2.30pm both vary between 40mins and 1hr 30mins depending on what we have been doing.

Amy, Caden always take a cup of cow's milk before bed time but i guess that's not enough for him! thanks for your suggestion though. :)

from the time i started the post till now, Caden is slowly transitioning into 1 nap! some days he would take only a 12-2 nap. this ruined our lunch plan last Sunday because he was so cranky that we had to change our plan to get take out instead :)

Oh my goodness, all you guys are sooo lucky! My son goes to bed between 8:30 and 9. Wakes up every night around 12 and 4 and 5. Or 2 and 5. He has an auto alarm clock to wake up at 5 every day. He takes a nap around 10 or 10:30 and then at 2:30. Not long naps. When he wakes up during the night, he screams until I get him out of the bed and does not go right back to sleep. I can count on 1 hand how many times he has slept thru the night - 3. I need some good advice! I can't just let him scream in his bed because he has a school aged brother in there also.

My 15 month old went to one nap at 10 months. She naps from around 12pm - 2pm. Then goes down at 8pm and wakes up at around 6.30 - 6.45am. She usually wakes up once a night, either for her dummy or coz she's gotten stuck! I envy those of you whose bubs sleep so much. Ours has never been a good sleeper!

Hi, my 15month old son still has two naps, one at about 9 till 10:30 and again at about 3 for 45 minutes. He goes doewn by 8 and up by 6:30 and stilll sometimes wakes during the night. He did change to 1 nap for a few weeks but has gone back to 2 naps. He started sleeping through at 7 months, but often still wakes for a dummy or because he has his foot stuck in the cot slats.

Ahhh sleep. Mine has never been a sleeper. She sleeps 8PM-7AM but usually wakes once (or more) around 4 or 5 AM (give her a binky and she goes back down). Lately she's been surprising us by waking more frequently and at odd times. She takes one nap 1-3 PM usually. Her total sleep with all the wake up breaks averages 13 hours total a day. I am waiting for the day she sleeps 11-12 hours straight on a regular basis!

My 15month old still takes 2 naps a day.  First at about 915am and the second about 3 pm.  Both last from 1-2 hours each.  Then she goes to bed right at 8pm and wakes about 7:15am.

My son went from 2 naps to 1 nap right when he turned 1. He's changed his nap/sleep schedule several times. Just when we get a routine down, he changes it! Now he naps just after lunch from about 12-2:30 and goes to bed about 7:30-8 and wakes up about 7:30-8 a.m. He was napping later in the afternoon and going to bed later, but all of a sudden changed it.

Carmen, I thought of one thing that you might try to get Caden to sleep longer. When we took Jake off the bottle, his doctor suggested giving him a sippy cup of cow's milk before bed. Our doctor has a 2 year old and he said that she still drinks a cup of milk before bed. Anyway, maybe that will help. I think it does for Jake that his belly is full right before bed. It also gets him slowed down enough to get sleepy.

Matison, my 16 month old, sounds like she is on the same schedule as your little one. Sometimes her naps are 2 hours and she sleeps 10-12 hours at night.

You guys are sooo lucky. Jamie naps around 11:30 then bed at 7ish only to wake as soon as my eyes close regardless what time it is! He then thinks its party time until 3am then is up and about around half 7 again. I'm seriously considering going to bed when he does so I get some decent sleeptime in!

Jake doesn't wake up until he has had around 12 hours of sleep. Sorry, guess I'm not a lot of help.

wow, Caden never sleeps longer than 11 hours at night. Amy and Keri, how do you guys keep the little ones in bed for 12 hours? if they cry after 10 hours of sleep, do you take them out or keep them in bed for a little longer? :p

Hi :) Finn naps once a day at about 1pm, usually until about 3pm then bed time is about 7pm. He is usually up by 7am in the morning. It seems to work well for him :)

Wow! Still taking two naps aday! My son Jake cut down to 1 nap a day about 2 months ago. Kinda miss that. Jake naps around 2 pm till about 4pm. His bed time is usually 9:30pm to around 9am. It's good to know what other kids the same age are doing. Hope some others post!
