My daughter is wetting through her diaper each night. I give her a bottle before bed but nothing during the night. We've tried Pampers and Huggies (both size 4). Any suggestions?

i had the same problem right from about 4 months old, and i always went one size bigger for the "night time" diaper and still do it to this day... i am in Canada not sure if in the US huggies and pampers are different but we have a huggies supreme that i used a bigger size for at night and not once has he woken up wet..

We had the same thing happen to us with my son. All we had to do was go up a size in diapers. She is probably just outgrowing her diapers.

I know cutting off any liquids after a certain hour of the night sounds mean, but I prefer it. Think about when it's time for potty training, if she's already in the habit of not drinking right before bed, there will be less accidents then as well.

Try the Huggies Overnighter Diapers in the same size that you use for your regular diapers. Toys R Us has the best price for the jumbo packs in my state (Hawaii) I had the same problem with my son from 4 months old. He's 15 months now and haven't had a problem since.

Luvs! Nothing held in my daughter at night. But they're cheaper than other brands and work amazing! She hasn't wet through since.

Maybe try her in a 4+ or a 5 nappy at night (personally i prefer huggies but each to their own) and also maybe give your daughter her bottle with her dinner instead of just before she goes to bed.

They are hard to find. But Huggies makes a night time diaper that is not a pull-up like other night time diapers. They are more expensive, but cheaper than using two regular diapers at night. We also make sure that it is secure around the leg before she is in bed.

I have also heard of people putting the rubber trainpants on over the diaper. It at least keeps the bed and clothes from getting wet.

my son wears 4 during the day so I started him in 5's at night because he was doing the same thing. He hasn't wet through his diaper yet but we also don't give him anything to drink after 7 pm(he goes to bed at 8).

I also had this same problem with who is now my 3 year old but and i tried different types of diapers also and my grandmother told me to do this.....1 hour before she went to bed not to give her anything to drink...i know it sounds mean but she did perfectly fine. She was a year old at the time.

This started happening with my son a few months ago as well. I use the Huggies overnight diapers and they work great! (worked with my first son too.)

A friend of mine would put a pad in the front of her kids diapers at night, she swear by it, I've never tried it though. I don't think pampers hold as much urine as huggies do.

May be she needs a bigger diaper, I always go up a size when it hits right at or below their belly button. I used Huggies Overnights for Spencer. I used them on my daughter, too when she was a baby. They are great, never leak, they hold twice as much. They are expensive, but they last a long time, since youre only using 1 may be 2 a night.

I have had this issue with both of my kids--one boy and one girl. Usually it was a good indication that it was time to move up to the next size, but I also found that the Huggies Overnight diapers worked great! The maxi pad suggestion is a new one to me--innovative! Good luck!

We have this same problem with our son and I have been buying the "overnight" diapers for him. He still is wet once in awhile but for the most part they have helped! Or you could try the training diapers, they are fairly thick too!

Thanks for the suggestions, we'll try them!

This sounds ridiculous, but it worked! I had a friend who was having the same issue and she just stuffed a maxi pad in sideways in the front of the diaper and it worked great.

I have that problem on some nights with my daughter. She sleeps on her belly so I know that can't help (everything runs forward). On the mornings she is wet, 9 times out of 10 it's her waistline that's wet. I like the trying a bigger size idea, even if it's just for the night time diaper. I'd be curious to know if the pullups hold more peepees than diapers?!
