About to begin potty-training

with my twins, who are 17 months, I have just started training. I've found that my girl likes the potty and my boy isnt interested yet. So far we've found the best times are upon waking up and before and after bathtime. I know as we progress we are going to follow some of the local daycare programs. At 18 months they put each child on the pot every hour and wait for them to go. After a maximum of 5 minutes trying to get them to go on the pot, if no success they tell them it's ok we'll try again in 10 minutes. Hope this helps, this is what we are going to try!

Buy a potty and just let her sit on it with out expecting anything. She might be scared but just sit next to her and tell her she willl be a big girl with no diapers. Maybe try putting a diaper on her favorite baby or stuffed animal and then showing her how they take off their diaper and sit on potty. It is a long process sometimes that needs consistancy and patience. My son is 17 months. Ive been trying for a few weeks and that is working. i am not as consistant as i should be but i DO know how to do it. He has used it for poopie a few times but no pee pee. (ha ha). You cant expect them that young to know when they have the urge to pee, i dont think. But if u know when she has to poopie ask if she wants to sit on potty.
