Hi! My son, Johnny, will be one year old on Nov 25th and I was wondering what would you recommend to get him to go to sleep without six ounces of formula? Also what about giving him whole milk in a bottle during the day (3 oz milk mixed with 3 oz of formula)?

Quoting Tina:

Jayden will also be one on the 25th...anyways he is drinking milk plain without mixing it with anything, and he has been for about a month now..He still has formula to finish, so it's a mix of juice, water, milk and formula daily of his bottles. We give him 8oz of warm milk before bed, if we give him less than 8oz he wakes up wanting more a few minutes later.

happy birthday to jayden!

my son has been drinking whole milk since 9 months. and now i'm trying to ween him off the bottle but he's been having some trouble so i'm giving in. he's teething right now and the bottle is a comfort. what i've been doing is giving him less and a week or so later a little less until eventually he won't even have a bottle. his dr said she wants him off the bottle by 18 months preferably sooner but with his teething i'm gonna wait a little longer

We mix Wes's formula with 1/2 milk and 1/2 water, and he gets 2-3 bottles per day. He definitely gets the formula at night time, and in the morning, and is offered a bottle at lunch time, but he has been "saying" no to that one, so it will likely be cut out soon :)
