My sons names are:

Jasper Emerson Hallam
Thor Gregory Hallam

My daughter's name is:
Dagmar Elaine Hallam

I like them because they are unusual - my daughter certainly won't know any other "Dagmar"s! The middle names are all family names (Emerson from a paternal grandfather, Greg is my husband's name, and Elaine was my deceased grandmother's name).

Thor is only one year, but already is concious that the movie Thor shares his name. I have a feeling he's going to think it's pretty cool when he gets a bit older.

my daughter was born november 25th and her name is madelynn kay. we picked out the names madelynn and mckenzie and decided once we saw her. my middle name is kay along w/ my mothers middle name as well.

I have one year old boy/girl twins.

Ruby Louise Carter and Cohen James Carter.



Louise is my midle name and my aunty who helped me through the pregnancy and the newborn stage, her middle name is also louise.

James is my poppy on dad's side - James Carter, who passed away this year. All the grandsons have james as a middle name.

Ruby was unintentional but it turns out that the twins that run in the family (my nanas sisters), one was named ruby and also the bubs aunty's middle name is also ruby.

They also share the same birthday as their other aunt 26 Nov.

My Son is Caiden Lowell (Lowell is my Dad's middle name)
Daughters are Callie Louise (Louise is my middle name)(kah-lee not kay-lee)
And Sadie Lyndon (Sss from my name, 'aid' from Caiden and 'ie' from Callie= Sadie, and Lyndon is from her dad's middle name Landon)

my son is called Chase James. we wanted something that was unusal but not total stupid. chase is more popular in america and theres a few on tv programmes. james was my partners uncle who died not long before we had chase.

im try to get preggy again. and if i have a girl i would like to call her Belle or Melody. but cant think of any middle names. and i cant find a boys name i like lol.

my baby doll just turned 1 and her name is "Taylor Vaughan" Her name comes from "Taylor" brand guitars and "Stevie Ray Vaughan". My husband and I are HUGE music people and thought it would be fitting! If she were going to be a boy we decided on "Slade Presley" "Slade" comes from Grady Cross- from Cross Canadian Ragweed (band)- it's his sons name, and Presley- from Elvis- again music and my step dad is a HUGE HUGE HUGE Elvis fan/collector! But we were blessed with our Tay Tay and are soo happy!!

my son's name is Jessi Zachary-Sky. his dad chose the name jessi because he just loved that name and i chose the middle name Zachary (his dad's middle name) - Sky becasue i wanted his first name to be sky.

What is with naming every baby after somebody, it's nice for family I guess, but my Mum hates her name and would be mortified if I used it! lol My 1 year old son is named Ethan Wyn (My husband is Welsh), If we have a girl she will be Seren Tallulah Aneira, our surname is Richards so her initials will spell STAR, and Seren is Welsh for star! I never thought I would be "one of those people" who named their kid after family, but for us it was a way to show respect for those who helped us get where we are. My name is Kristi Dawn, and I am named after no one, they just liked the name! One of my bro's middle names is my mom's maiden name, and I was always jealous that he got to be named after someone ...

I do like the idea of "individuality" ... although I don't think it really exists, there are SO many kids and only so many "real" names to use.

I do love Ayla though - is it pronounced "A - la"?

We named our 13months old li'l prince, Miguel Francis, after St. Michael the Archangel (Miguel is spanish for Michael, by the way) and Fracis after St. Francis of Assissi. His nickname is Miggy, Migmigz or Migz

I have two boys that were not names after anyone. My husband and I have different taste in names so it was hard to come up with names we both agree upon. Our oldest is three, his name is Austin Andrew and Brayden Kyle just turned a year old on Nov 14th. If we were to have a girl, her name would have been Tristan Ryleigh. The only name we both 100% loved.

Hi Jess,

Im pregnant with my second child, and trying to find names i like for baby girls. I like the sound of Aliyah, but i have to ask, as you mentioned everyone gets it wrong, do you have any regrets about using this name? If you could go back would you change anything about it, like maybe the spelling or maybe it doesnt really bother you?

My husband and I named our little girl Skyler Lindsey. Skyler I've liked ever since one day at the zoo with my family when I was little they were handing out cards asking for suggestions on what to name their latest addition to the zoo..... a baby giraffe! I picked Skyler, and ever since then have loved it. So when I suggested it to my hubby and he loved it as well it was decided! And now I'm staring to hear it a little more often mostly spelled "Skylar" though. Lindsey as her middle name is after my first name.

I have a little Girl named Eva Jean. Eva we both liked and since my husband is French it worked well. Jean was my mothers middle name and since she is gone I felt I needed to have a piece of her with my daughter.

If we ever have boy his name will be Thomas Xaiver. Thomas is my father name and Xaiver was my great grandfathers name. I wanted to add Felix for my Grandfather but my husband hates it

I have 3 children and another on the way My first child is a boy born July 24th 2004 and named "Jack Carlton Thomas", Jack was chosen when I was 4 yrs old someone asked what I wanted to do when I grew up I said "have a baby and call him Jack" and it stuck so he is Jack :) Carlton is after my grandfather and Thomas is my husbands Grandfather both deceased before he was born.

2nd Child another boy born August 21st 2005 is "Amileo Quett Robin", Amileo was chosen about a day after he was born Ami is my Best Friend (who actually became my sister in law 2 weeks ago after I introduced her to my brother and they spent time together when Amileo was born 4 and a half years ago, as he was born the night me and my husband were moving house which Ami and Quett finished while I was in hospital) she was the one by my side when I brought him into this world but as Ami is a girls name we needed to choose something that included it, I liked the name Leo also which is how we got Amileo pronounced - Emileo but with an A :) Quett was after my big brother and Robin was after my Mum.

My third child finally A little girl :) born November 7th 2008 is Named "Capri Ava Lilly" Capri was chosen after a song named Capri by Colby Calais ""(absolutely beautiful song) and Ava Lilly was just because we loved it and it went so well :)

As for my 4th baby I have NO idea what his or her's name is going to be I am only 14 weeks along so I have time to think about it :)

I have a girl Delaney Grace, I have always wanted to name my child Delaney. Even when I was little and playing with dolls my babies would be Delaney. Grace was from my grandmother's sister.
I also have a son Jackson Thomas, my husband wanted a family name. We have James and he has Odell in his family. I was not going to name him Odell. Both of our familys are from a county named Jackson. So this way we are naming them after our family without naming them James or Odell. Thomas was my grandfathers name.

We have 4 children .
Raymond John
Raymond was my great uncle ray he passed away when I was a little girl from a heart attack but his wife is my grandma twin sister and Im very close to her and she never had any kids so I named my 1st born son after her husband
the my son' middle name is john after my dad

now my stepdaugher is meghan jhane
my husband let his ex wife pick any name so she went with the weird spelling with both meghan and jhane (jane)

so when we set out get get pregnant we had a theme going with middle names it was J
so my son asked if we were going to have a boy if could name him and my step told me she wanted to name the baby amy BUT we had a BOY so my son got to name the so he was so excited that he said to us he was going to name him LUKE SKYWALKER I SAID NO so we sat and said ok how about Luke James and you can call him skywalker for a nickname
then a few weeks pass and we find out im pregnant again suprise!
So I was having a real bad year I lost alot of friends and family members. did alot of crying. My poor kids and husband got draged to alot of viewings during the summer then we got new that my godfather got cancer too which really hurt me. So not matter what my husband said I was going to Use my godfathers name some how . So we went to see what we were having I was hoping Boy but instead we got a girl so Shocked . So i was still going to use the name Denver some how then in Aug . a dear friend passed so I so lost her name was julia and my grandma always talks about her dear friend Evelyn so I had to use all these names some how . SO I was Talking to my grandma's twin one night and just telling everything about what is going and shhe said that Evelyn should be the 1st name and since we do j's for middle Julia should the middle and denver should go last so she would have a choice if she what to use it. My aunt Dorthy is a very smart woman. Now hopefully we are done cause at this point I dont think I could come up with any more names.

Abbigael aka Abbie was just a name we both always loved... because of the popularity of alternate spellings as well as family heritage we went with the Gaelic adaptation.
Katherine is after her great-great-Granny from Ireland
Jean is after her great-Grama who passed away while I was pregnant with her. They would have had a lot of fun together...

We named our son Spencer and his middle name is Finn. We wanted something a little different, his dad's name is Joe and I just felt that was too common for me, so we found Spencer and fell in love with it, and Finn is an Irish name.

My son's name is Sean Michael. My husband chose this because it's what his mother wanted to name him when he was born!
Whenever we have a little girl, we are naming her Alara Nicole. (Uh-lar-uh) Alara is a name I came up with and we've liked since we were dating and agree on.. and Nicole because it flows well and after my best friend Nikki. :)
And if we have another boy we will name him Justin Michael because Justin has always been my favorite boy name!

I have 4 daughters, but I only have one that has a family name relation. Listed in birth order- Carmen Bailey, Reagan Shae, Brynn Noel, and Emerson Joann (Joann is after my grandmother).

Hi, my sons name is Joshua Phillip.

Joshua is just a name we both loved, and Phillips is the last name of my husbands grandparents who raised him, we felt is was a fitting way to honour them both.

My son is Kayden James. James is his daddy's middle name and his grandpa and great-grandpa's names. I always liked Kaden but we wanted to spell it differently.



If he would've been a girl, he(she) would've been Kinley Jade. And if we have another boy he will be Camden Jacob.

my son's name is gage his full name is gage lynn willliams we had got his middle name when i was pregnant with his sister and we didnt know what sex she was cuz she was to big when we got the sono gram and lynn is i guess a middle name for a boy in this fam im not sure about that lol and the next child we have if its a girl we want to namer her codi lynne williams i just liked codi for a girl spelled that way and lynne (with an e ) is my middle name and if we have another boy next time or when ever it will be kayden michael williams we liked kayden and michael is my hubbys middle name lol yeah that was alot more than you asked huh lol sorry lol
