Hi! My son, Bryce, was born November 13, so he is a month old today! I am struggling a bit with his feedings. I was breastfeeding him(well, using a pump full time), and he started demanding more than I could produce, so my husband and I started supplementing with formula. We are using the Gentlease that everyone says is so wonderful...but since we started doing that he has been very gassy and crampy, crying miserably for long periods of time, especially at night. He burps well, so I'm not sure where all the gas is coming from. We've tried going back to all breastmilk, and we've tried going 100% formula to see if we could isolate the problem, but nothing seems to affect him. We've done gas drops and gripe water also. Any suggestions? He has a doctors appt next week, but I would still appreciate suggestions now because I feel so bad for him. Oh, and he's only producing about 1-2 stools a day(very runny and dark green). Help! I am a first time mom and exhausted and at my wits end with this. thanks!

I have a boy from Nov 1 who is on breast milk. He has gas as well, but he has a hard time burping. He is crampy for about 30 min after which he delivers a big ***. According to my girlfriends and other new moms, the stomach thing might not be because of what he is being fed but perhaps something with his intestines having to get used to the food. Come to think of it, a lot of babies experience problems with the digestion around 6-8 weeks. Some of my friends have visited a zonetherapist (?) ... therapist where they but pressure on the feet. This has worked well for them ...
