I had my baby via section on 11/3.  I actually contacted the doctor at the end of December because I still hadn't had my period.  She told me that it could take up to four months for me to get it, if I wasn't breast-feeding (longer if I was).  I finally got my period last Tuesday but it is pretty much done already.

My son was born 11/14 and I just got mine 3 days ago. I think it depends on the person. If you are breast feeding, your level of stress, ect.

Mine started out normal and already is almost over (short for me), so it may just take a while for your body to jump start itself so to speak.

I had my son on 15th november bled for 3 weeks then had first period 2 weeks ago it will happen eventually. Sometimes it takes time for your body to readapt back to normal unless of course you have had unprotected sex then you could well be pregnant again. You could fall very easily and quickly after giving birth recently

Hi I had my baby 4 Nov and had my period on the 30th Dec after stopping bleeding for 2 weeks after I had my baby. I am also on the pill (I could not breastfeed) but it did not help I still got my period earlier than expected. I too have PCOS and hardley ever have periods or ovulate unless on medication.

i had my baby 8/11/08 and i have had 2 periods since then but everyone is different, one of my friends didnt have one until 13 months after her child was born and others 6 weeks, it depends on your body. enjoy not having them whilst you can.

Are you breastfeeding? I had my son 11/24/08 and haven't gotten my period either, however,  I am exclusively breastfeeding so I'm not expecting it. With my first born I didn't get my period until 7 months later and that's also because I was pumping exclusively.

I had my son on November 19th and got mine on January 6th - about a day or two after I stopped bleeding after having him.  I have a friend who didn't get hers for months afterwards and we're both breastfeeding.  Some people get them sooner than others.

saw my midwife today for my postpartum (at 9 weeks) and she said everything is fine. I probably should of gotten my period now, but i do have PCOS which messes with my periods. She said to keep charting, i know very well when i am ovulating (temps, cervical mucus, and cervix postion) so hopefully it will come soon. My other option is abstaining....and that is just not an option! ;)

Quoting Pamela:

I wouldn't stop doing your charts - that might lead to a pregnancy for sure! lol! I had Magnolia on November 1st and had my first period Jan 4th. I use the chart method as well so I was happy to have a new starting point. I guess it's true in some cases that breast feeding holds off your period but not in my case and I'm exclusively breast feeding. I would ju

Sorry but doing temps and charts are not gonna stop you from getting pregnant the only thing that will stop that is birth control. Strees can stop periods so just try not to worry so much and if you think that you could be pregnant do a test and put your mind at rest. Everyones boby if differant

Nope, not really. Had a wierd little stint right after I gave birth, during that first month I stopped and started again after a couple of days, but have not seen a period since. I had my son on 11/20 and am breastfeeding. If you are b/fing, that can stop your period all the way up until the time you stop. That didn't happen for me with my daughter, born 9/22/05, but seems to be the case thus far.

There is a correlation between breastfeeding and menstruating.  Typically, if you are breastfeeding, it may delay getting your period for a while.  The thing to note though, is that you are highly fertile though, so exercise extreme caution or it could be baby #6.  I gave birth on November 18th and still have not got my period but this is entirely normal.  I am normally very regular (like clockwork), but this is just to be expected.  Good Luck!

If u worry about it 2 much that can stop your periods i think the best thing is to stop doing temps and charting.

Are you nursing??  Is so, it takes quite a while. Otherwise I'm not sure.  It took almost a year for me to get mine.

i had my baby on November 8th and bleed for 6 weeks straight, then stopped for 3 days then started again... finally they stopped again about 5 days ago.. you need to also let your body get back into proper routine, my doctor said this can go on for a few months. so dont worry.

I gave birth on November 28th and had my 6 week Ob exam on Thursday.  I haven't had my period yet and my Ob said it may not come for the entire duration that I'm breastfeeding.  So I definitely wouldn't worry.

I gave birth to Ava on bonfire night and had my first post-pregnancy period on 26th December.....I bled quite heavily for about 4 weeks after birth then stopped entirely...then obviously come boxing day the dreaded forst period arrived! haha

I would say don't panic yet......how long did you bleed for post birth hun???
