My son was born on November 6---eight weeks early.....I bled for abt four and a half weeks after his birth and got my period abt five and a half weeks after his birth.  Never too early I guess.

I just got mine back 5 days ago, I had my baby Nov 25!! I was really moody prior to it so I know it was a real period...

My son was born 15/11 via an emergency c-section. I am breastfeeding and topping up with bottle feeds sometimes. I still have not got my period, but i am also on the mini-pill and i think that u dont get it sometimes when u are on it. I bled for about 3-4wks after he was born tho.

i got my period back after 6 weeks. i bled for 6 weeks after his birth and as soon as i stopped bleeding i started bleeding again:( but i'm not breastfeeding. my son has been bottle since day one

I bled for only a short time once I left the hospital, I just got my first period on Monday and my son was born on 11/4.

Really weird but I wrote about my period and being worried that I haven't gotten it yet this morning and it came tonight. Guess writing on this wall does have karma. It has been just about 12 weeks after a C section.

yeah i bled for 5 weeks after giving birth then had a 3 week break and had my first period at 9 weeks .

I had my son on Nov. 17, 2008 and still have not gotten my period. I do not breast feed. Anyone else not get their period yet and not breastfeeding ? Should I be worried ?

AT about 8 weeks, I was spotting, but recently i got my first real period!! (with cramps as well)

I bled heavily until my son was 10 weeks old and just stopped bleeding last week.  I don't know what was going on there but I had an ultrasound and some tests done (testing my iron, etc) because of how heavy it was.  I went to the doctor, who said the test results were all totally normal and then stopped bleeding a few days after that.  I do not want to see blood again for a very long time.  My Dr. said it's possible that it had something to do with the fact that my normal periods are really heavy and last a long time.

i bled for 6 weeks after giving birth and then right away i had my period:( i knew it was my period because i had a horrible migraine. and now i am currently on my second one. i didn't miss them while i was pregnant

Hi!! I hemmoraged in delivery, i lost 4 liters of blood and came really close to dying so my mid wife said it might take awhile to get a period, but it came 8 weeks after i gave birth. Thank God i was kind of scared.

You'd think that after being through pregnancy, labour, delivery, then doing sleepless nights and breastfeeding that someone up there could give us a bit of a break on this!!

I'm not really crampy but boy, am I moody!  Someone told me that it takes two years for your hormones to return to normal after having a baby...*sigh*

hi- I have gotten it twice sine having a section on 11.20. I bled for what seemed like forever! I think I bled for 3 weeks, then got it Christmas eve- 4 weeks after birth. They have been pretty horrible!

I think writing on this wall was karma lol.. im breastfeeding like I said and well thismorning i got my period lol.. hopefully like last time it will just come once and then go away for another 6 months or so.. who knows..

I did.. I had a c section and I continued to bleed for 6 weeks then got my period at 8 weeks post partum.. I felt so yucky.. I started the pill and I am now due again.. A friend of mine always says you will always refer to things as before baby.. It is true.. Before baby my periods were normal.. Now I am in such pain

Be thankful; I never got a period after my 1st pregnancy.  Now I have children 11 months apart.  It's hard!

I too bled for 6 weeks after giving birth (via c-section), then my period started 2 weeks after that! Totally sucks, I agree. I was hoping that I would get a little more time away from it. By the way, I am exclusively breast feeding!!!

I had my period back right after my 6 week check up. I guess you could call it that. It was very light and short. I'm just finishing my first pack of birth control and starting again...so no I'd say it not too early.

I am breastfeeding.  I haven't had any cramps but I didn't always get them before I was pregnant, yesterday I felt a little weepy.  However, it's been fairly light so far.

I didnt get my period back untill I stopped breast feeding my first and after I did find my flow was ALOT heavier then before and i got cramps which i never has before..But i have yet to get my period yet after birth. but might make a difference if you are breast feeding or not? but alot of women go right back to cycle so you never know.

I got mine back about 6-7 weeks after my first baby. I am starting to get it again and they have been awful. Heavy bleeding, headaches and bad cramping:(

I got mines back after 7 weeks, and currently this is my 2nd one.. It happens everytime with my other 2... Oh I only stopped bleeding after I had my daughter in 3 weeks

hi there. i stopped and started bleeding for about six or seven weeks after birth, then there was about three weeks and i got a real period. i could tell it was a period because i got cramps as well. i was pretty cranky about it. i hate periods and thought id get a bigger break than that! :)
