How do you bathe your 11 month old?

My little girl will be 1 on the 23rd November she is in the big girl bath and has been since she was 3 1/2 Months old we had to put her in it because she is so long in length I think you can put your baby in the big bath when ever you are ready we found to make the transition alot easy either dad or I would have a bath with her until she became comfortable it may take a while but they slowly enjoy it my little girl enjoys bath time refuses to get out sometimes and thinks its the best time of the day because we get her involved with getting it ready e.g putting in the bubbles and her toys

my daughter has been taking a "big girl" bath in the regular bath tub for a couple of weeks now and she loves it. i just have a non slip bath mat on the tub floor. i make sure that the water is not too high and she just kinda crawls around playing with her toys in the bathtub.

i've been so afraid to but Bethanie in a real tub, she has a duckie but it's only been used once or twice. She was given a baby jacuzzi tub so we still use that but she's out growing it so i bought her a seat that clicks on to my tub. i can't put her in my tub because she likes to lay down and i'm nervous that i'll blink and she'll drown

I have always just put my baby in the tub. I use to use one of those things from jolly jumper that go in the tub and baby lays on it. Once he was able to sit i got rid of it. Now he is hard to bathe 'cuz he wants stand and move around alot. He is one year old today. I just wash him as best i can and try to keep it fun.

We have been doing baths in the big tub for a long time. We bath him in the reg. tub, the garden tub, the shower, my favorite and easiest is the kitchen sink! No bending over breaking my back and he loves it!

my daughter has been taking a bath in the big bath tub by her self since she was about 4 months. Like most people I would recommend a faucet cover you can buy them any were I got one at wal-mart but I have seen them every ware even in the grocery store. I don't put more than 2 or 3 inches in the tub. Just enough to get her clean and let her splash around in. You do what you feel comfortable doing though. You are the mom and there is no wrong answers.

my son has been in the big bath since he was 6 months and could sit up on his own, just makesure you are always there and dont leave him un attended (obviously) lol he will be fine :)

Careful with those, I used it with m y oldest and one day he went in just fine but getting him out was a different story, he got stuck and was 6 months old at the time. That was 14 years ago now.

I had the same tub uo until he was bout 9 months old. Now I got a bath mat for the regular tub so he won't slip and he absolutely loves it! Water is fun for him and he even likes it poured over his head.

Well, we keep our 11 month old in the infant bath where he sits up and plays in the water. We put the entire infant bathtub in our large bathtub so the water splashes don't make a mess. We've thought about moving him over, but we use so much less water in the infant bath, and I feel like it's a little safer.

My 10 and half month old girl has been in the big bath since about 4 months but since she sat unaided at 5 and half months the has no sear and she loves it crawls around to get the toys and splashes us she just hates getting out!

amber used to hate water,baths everything then one i put her in the bath with me fully clothed and played , next day we did the play but in our birthday suit and added water and well that was that. i now watch her as she sits on a mat playing with her toys its keeping them sitting thats the wet bit. just never leave them and have fun to ..lol xx

I think using the regular tub is much easier, especially with this stool I sit on next to it, to wash my 11 month old. As long as you never leave for any reason, I don't see why they cannot bathe in a tub.

i bathe my son in the bath tub and sometimes i take a shower with him. it just really helps me somedays when im running late and my husby isnt home to help me out. we just recently did away with the baby bath tub.

My son is 10 months old and he has been in the big tub since he was 4 months old. I put toys in there with him and give him his own cup to play with in the water and he loves it. Just make sure he doesn't stand up. Mine likes to stand up allot.

I started giving my Lo a bath in the big tub when he hit about 5 months old. He got much too big for the baby tub, and it was a headache to fill up the little one and then clean up the water mess all over the place after he was done. He LOVES the big tub. He had his first bubble bath the other night and he was amazed by all the bubbles. He has plenty of bath toys and we let him play for about 10 mins or so then it's scrubba dub time.

My Daughter (11 Months) has been in the big tub since she was 8 months old ( when she was able to sit up by herself with no support) with a bath mat down and she loves it. As long as you are watching him he should be fine.

My son (10 month) has used the big tub for months now, we started off with a bath cradle, then as he got more mobile we tried a bath seat (which didn't work very well). Now we just sit him in the bath, he loves it.

My son had the same tub and he has been taking a regular bath for about 3 months now, but it when you feel comfortable. My son sits up well and plays with the water spicket. Gavin also out grew the duck.

My son has been having "normal baths" since he was able to sit up. I wouldn't worry about having any thing in there with him, just plop him in and sit with him!

I brought my guy in the shower with me at about 2 months... it was easier for me to do that and he loves the shower. Now he wants to play in the tub I just sit him on a bath mat (so he does not slip all over) and i don't stop the tub up I just let the faucet run and he loves it. He sits under the running water and even sticks his under it. I never leave him for a second though....

I did that for about 3 times and it became more of a pain because he would try to climb out. Aiden does fine in the tub by himself he just has a habit of standing rather we say no or not and needs to be watched closely.

I've been letting my son take a bath in the "big" tub since he was 10months. I got a faucet cover and tub mat so that he won't slip. He loves it!

My daughter will be 11 months on the 20th, and I got her a bathtube seat...I just sit her down and use the shower hose...I make the bathroom is warm first. Good Luck

We've been using this inflatable bumper around our regular tub since he was about 2 months old and LOVE it.

Its been a great transition to let us use our big regular tub but I don't have to worry so much about him falling and hitting his head on the sides. He loves it too because of the bright colors and he's just started pointing to the letters on it during bathtime so we practice the alphabet too!

My daughter has a rubber ducky bathtub too! I just found it easier because she tends to fall backwards from sitting in the tub when I pour water on her head. I use the ducky tub as a cushion. I would like to know the same thing.

I have been bathing my son in the regular bath tub since he was 3 weeks old. The baby tub was just too small & he absolutely hated it, there was not enough water in it to keep him warm & he was getting very upset. Now bath time is his favourite, he is old enough to play with toys & splash around, my only concern is keeping him from standing in the tub!

My daughter has been in the regular bath tub since about 2 weeks it was much easier for us and she LOVES the water and I was more than comfortable with it so thats what we did. I dont see why your child couldnt be in the big bath tub as long as your always there and watching what really is the difference? I give my daughter toys and have the bath mat down and depending on the kind of faucet you have you might want to get a cover for it so he doesnt hit his head but other than that I dont think you need anything special. Just start with hardly any water and as you get more comfortable keep adding more. You may want to run the shower with really hot water first to let the bathroom warm up as it maybe cold with a little water.

Not sure if this helped you at all but do keep in mind that my daughter was 2 weeks old when she went in the big tub and did great so Im sure your 11 month old will do great as well once he gets used to it!
