how many ounces a day should 3 month old baby eat??

my little girl eats 6 oz every four hours except at night (she sleeps 8 hours so misses one feeding) so ya like 5 bottles=30oz. My nurse says that they used to have a chart that says babies 3-5 months should eat between 6-7 oz but that they dont give those charts out anymore because every baby is different. just use your own judgement to decide when your baby should eat and how much. my daughtersually lasts 4 hours (sometimes 3.5) and when she was at 4 oz but was only lasting an hour or 2 i knew it was time to bump her up to the next level...your baby will let you know :P GL
My guy drinks 6 oz. 5 times a day, so 30 oz. He drinks every three hours from the time he gets up (8-8:30) till he goes down for the night usually 8:30-9.
I lied my guy is getting 7.5 oz. 5 times a day ... So 37.5 oz ... lol I'm not quite sure what I was thinking :)

First, I think we all know every baby is different! The real sign is if he is gaining weight as the Dr. thinks he should! Other then that, are you offering larger bottles and he just stops eating or are you only making a small bottle and thinking he does not need more because he is not squeaking about it??

My son is only getting about 20oz a day and weighs about 14lbs now. He doens't seem overly hungry though and is staying hydrated because he has plenty of wet diapers. I always get looks from other moms when I tell them this and I thought he should be eatting more as well. Any ideas as to why he wouldn't be eatting as much?
